Challenging Undercuts the Right Word
When I was considering a draw to attract video content providers to my up-and-coming deployment, I immediately saw the opportunity to share dividends with the stars. I was verbally broadcasting around in early 2006 (January) about how I was going to split 1/3 of ad proceeds for myself with 2/3 ad proceeds for the content providers, video by video. I can afford something like that because of my low level of overhead. But as soon as I read that YouTube was going to do this, I immediately about-faced and am now pursuing one of my other brewing options. I wouldn't dare compete with the established name and their big bucks, especially with all the stickiness of sending checks out to the people who post the videos. Lots of lawsuits. I'm glad I'm not going that all of the sudden anymore. That's a horrendous promise to make and publish indeed. Can you imagine how many people will pull an OJ and say "I already spent it" when you try to collect any fraudulent proceeds through the court system? This is the same type of person that is so unreliable and has such bad credit that misdemeanors are a way of life. I'm actually somewhat relieved that I am not going to have to print out millions of checks every month. But it would have been the necessary clincher. Well, I guess it's onto something that will make me more money instead. The markets do abound in the untapped Internet landscape.
