I have to disagree with you on this one ...

Unless you're talking about ONLY the offenders' computers and monitoring ONLY the offenders' data lines, without intercepting other data packets, then I'd have to say that the cure is worse than the disease. The catch phrases "for the children" and "fighting terrorism" are already over-used in attempts to curtail our constitutional rights.
