Simply not true...
Jerremy Allison quit Novell even though he readily admits that the GPL (license) was NOT violated. His zealotry however pushed him to say that even thought he license was NOT broken, he felt the "spirit" of the GPL was broken.

Hate to say it but there is no such thing. A license is a legaly binding contract based upon very careful wording. Stay within that wording and it's all good.

Sort of like when Linux users use Microsoft True Type fonts and then claim that they have the right to do so because they own a copy of Windows and that satisfies the Windows EULA.

Good for the goose, good for the gander...
