Yeah. Like ISPs don't retain data already.

Everyone does backup of their data, so that data is "available" for the "asking."

Just remember one thing, Mr. Attorney General; Backup media does not last forever. Better grab that private data while you can! Just to speed things up, you might want to skip acquiring a warrant. It's not as if you do that anyway...
