OK, let me understand...
I can tape (or otherwise record) music that plays over the air on my (FREE)FM radio, and the Supreme Court has ruled that it is legal, and as fact it is my right for me to do so. But if I want to record the same song on my XM radio, which I pay a monthly fee for, or more accurately, if I want XM to store it for me on my device, this is to be a crime! The problem with trying to make all this a legal issue is that people, in general, do not obey laws that don't make sense to them! Most crimes in which someone is victimized, people understand to be wrong. "Intellectual Property" rights are only understood by IP owners and the lawyers! The whole thing is absurd! As long as people remain analog-input-only devices, the "analog hole" will always be there.
