Baidu should enter Japan via Partnership
According to written reports: "Officials refused to say whether Baidu will set up the branch alone or seek Japanese partners for its Japanese service joint venture". It would seem practical and smart for Baidu to partner with a large Japanese search organisation, such as NTT's goo (http://www.goo.ne.jp/) which has a powerful brand, lags Yahoo! Japan in usage rates, and could use such a partnership to gain a quicker understanding of Japan's search industry. Vice versa could be said about NTT's ability to access the China search market. Also, unlike the rest of the world where Google dominates, Google Japan has recently only broke into the top 10 for search engine usability.
