Hmmmmm..... I don't know...
I realize that the Google page is rather distinctive; but would it be distinctive if it wasn't Google?
I understand that Google doesn't want people to copy their page, and others shouldn't; However awarding a patent for a layout that has really no truly orginal design except the graphics. (although the ability to click the OOO's in the bottom "Gooogle" would be something different and innovative, that I would think can be patented.
I vote "bad patent". The only saving grace is that it's so specific; however, I see Google pulling the patent out when it's on it's way to down (as all tech companies will eventually fall), to try one last grasp at some then rising company.
