- In fact, Tivo has been advertising that if you upgrade to their new High Def box then you can transfer your lifetime subscription to the new box for a measly $200. Basically what they're saying is that they will allow you to buy another lifetime subscription for the new box; I paid about $200 for my lifetime subscription 4 or 5 years ago.
