So you feel the same way about on-line investing?
Effectively, investing in a company is gambling and you can lose all your money (see Enron as an example). Playing games at an on-line casino is similar except that the house always wins.

Do you feel that expanding businesses (of which on-line casinos are an extension of) is really that bad just because someone can make a stupid decision or may lack control? Why must one go to a casino to gamble if they can shop on line, manage investments (gamble on the viability of a company and the potential return or failure), get insurance (car, house, etc.), find other forms of entertainment (videos, porn, images, stories, etc.) and more on line? This is all targeted at adults (typically), so they should be responsible for their own actions and deal with the consequences.

You can blow your life savings on investing in companies that fail, also. Should we ban that?
