Microsoft's Ozzie: Vista, Office adjusting to Web

I finally figured it out!!! Google is a shadow corp...: Google is a "shadow corp"...created by the other "bigs"...they put out a few nifty applets, and suck M$ into the illusion that "it's all going web". Then when M$ bites...they lose it all. Because really, it's not all going web. I want software that I can install locally, run locally, unconnected, and save my data locally. I do not need or want, to do everything...or even most things, on the web. I will do web mail there. I will view news there. Participate in forums. Even make an occasional online purchase. But real computing, rather than browsing/info gathering/spouting on a forum...I'll do offline.
