Web and Applications?
The fact that I am from India should justify what I say. In India, I would reckon that over half of the web users are on 56k dial-up connections. If you consider this and look at the idea of offering applications over the net...well, it seems pretty impossible! These applications are generally over 100-150 MB and downloading them on a 56k is generally considered a joke. Therefore, CDs and DVDs will remain important till the entire world has got fast connections to the wide wide world wide web!
