Sorry, I don't buy it....
I keep hearing this stuff.... save it on the net. It is so safe, etc. etc. As long as I have full control of my data, no one can steal it or copy it. Who do I sue when something goes wrong? If I can even sue or recover from anyone.

Can you emagine a mergers and acquisition firm storing their confidential info on a web server in god knows where country. How long will a recovery from a web backup take... days or weeks? I am sure my data is a high priority for them (NOT).

The (slow) interactive technology and convenience may exist now, but the laws are slow and criminals are fast. What criminals can't find, they can't steal. What happens when that critical web app or data server is down and you need your information? I have a 2 gig USB memory stick that solves all of my data portability problems for now. Never, Never, Never will I put stuff on the "CLOUD" (at least without full local backup).

Control Freak??? maybe, In God we trust, all others pay cash...
