The term "Web 2.0", yes, very hyped up and a lot of websites are clumped into that buzz category.

However, you can't deny that the cost of developing / propensity for people to use online applications has risen and will continue to do so.

For an entrepreneur, this means going after ideas that one could not monetize 5 years ago AND doing it for much cheaper.

We have more people using the internet and user experiences are getting better. While the term itself is a bunch of hype, the timing has refueled a lot of investors / entrepreneurs.

If you're a seasoned web-developer and you have an idea, there are more eyes open now than couple years ago. Carpe diem!
