What's your definition of healthy?
If Cuba has such a healthy economy and is such a lucrative market, what is stopping the rest of the world from investing time, money, and technology in the place? While Castro can complain about the U.S. embargo crippling his nation, why then does he not open his doors to the rest of the world? This is hypocrisy - you can't complain that you are shut off from the world's largest free market economy, and then restrict your own economy and markets. Ending the embargo would not open Cuba's economy, it would just put more money and resources into its ruling class.
