"MS purchases Socialtext, Google has to hurriedly does the same the next day."

MS purchased Socialtext?

"MS Puts search bar on IE, Google complains while doing the same with FF."

I've been doing Google searches (well, Answers.com actually) in the FF search bar for over a year now. So you can graciously apologize for going overboard any time you wish.

"Competitors search algorithms getting better each day, Google sues to see their competitor's code while keeping their's a state secret."

Link please! I missed this. Everybody knows (or should) that a Google search is basically useless unless you are looking for retailers. Some of the other Google service are extremely user friendly (the bought Picasa, Page Creater and Feeder IMHO), which may lead The Big G to solid user base in case they can't nail down the next version of "useful search" like they did last century.
