You need to reinvestigate
The numbers you quote for vetos are misleading. Since the end of the cold war era, the vast majority of U.S. vetos have been related to resolutions criticizing Israel. Under the "Negroponte doctrine", the policy is to oppose resolutions which reprimand Israel regarding its response to incidents in the Middle East without also reprimanding the terrorist group or government that provoked the Israeli response. It is particularly misleading of you to construe the tally of U.S. vetoes as being an example of some type of unbridled abuse of power by the U.S., when in fact they mostly relate to this one issue. If you're honest, you'll admit - you've bungled this one.
