Biased system of justice

and that's what really scares me.

THIS case (if presented correctly) is an excellent example of what's bad with the legal system.
The man:
- had not one but TWO witnesses that he was at home.
- does not own a white truck
- may have been online at the time

and most importantly

had a judge that made a decision on (as far as I can tell) personal opinion, with a sentence of "365 days of confinement and a $2,000 fine".

Like I said, this is typical. Its not the fault of the police. Politicians, feeling pressure from woman's right groups and angry feminists in general, pass laws that take away any discretion the police may have and force them to make the arrest. Judges, also under strict Attorney General guidelines, similarly lack discretion. The domestic violence system is geared toward the "battered helpless female and the big bad male". While this is the case sometimes, mostly the system is used by opportunist to screw each other over in divorce situations.
