Say WHAT?

"IBM, like too many companies, has been forced to file defensive patent applications (if they don't patent air, someone else will) but not enforce them except to make a point."

Dude, what have you been smoking? IBM is the king of software patents, has been for decades, and has huge profit center based on income from their patent portfolio. Over $10 BILLION in the last decade from their patent portfolio.

Also of note, IBM is has spent millions in the EU to support software patents and lobbying for them.
