It will be in certain communities

IBM has always served the god of profit.

While we Linux users have benefitted from the huge investments in Linux and FOSS by IBM that company's Linux related revenues have far exceeded their investment. Investing in Linux and FOSS is good for IBM. They can hedge their bets against MS while leveraging the low cost of Linux/FOSS to realize lucrative services revenue. While IBM has adopted the use of FOSS they have never operated with a FOSS philosophy.
