should we put our faith ...
... in a Forrester "researcher" that was likely hired directly out of an MBA program, or instead in a site that is the 10th most popular website with less than 100 employees?

As a long-time Internet strategist (and reader of many a Forrester "research paper") I have been impressed with YouTube's managed growth and business model.

NBC, for one, threatened legal action but savvy negotiations resulted in a partnership between NBC and YouTube instead.

Let's give the networks more credit than the movie studios or record companies. They've seen the writing on the wall and will likely recognize the golden goose for what it is and not slaughter it.

And please remember whenever you're reading something from Forrester that you're likely reading something written by a person with very little "real world" experience. Sorry, but true.

Good luck to YouTube - I use it, I watch it and I love it.
