The problem with all search engines that I have used is that
they do not allow for refinement of the search results directly from these results. They require new entries with additional limitations. Boolean entry of searches is nice, but it pales in comparison to a "library" search engine that I saw used which allowed the librarian to continually refine the results without losing the original search. This engine kept the search results and allowed continued refinement of the results of deletion of elected portions of the results and refinement of the balance.

Why can we average users not have such a system of searching.
