I'm not kidding
I know many librarians myself, and consider them an underappreciated and underutilized resource. But the ones I've met are not representative of all librarians everywhere, and even if they were, it's naive to think that no librarian anywhere might skew information to effect his/her agenda.

The point of my post was simply that you have to gather your information intelligently and always keep a critical eye on where and how you get that information. And that doesn't change if you depend on a web site, search engine, or librarian.
