So if we are doing nothing wrong, we should let everyone into our lives, is that it?

That's Orwellian bullcrap. I like my privacy, even if I'm doing nothing wrong. It doesn't make me a criminal, it just means that I don't trust third parties with ANY of my information; our government has already proven that they're willing to abuse everyone's information in the name of stopping terrorists/paedophiles/communists/fill-in-the-blank.

I have a reasonable right to privacy, and I will do whatever it takes to protect that. Don't tell me "if you've done nothing wrong...", I've done nothing wrong, and until someone can absolutely prove otherwise, GTFO of my life.
