Don't ISPs retain data already?
Their systems should have logs that show the data these dumb f[patch]s want, and those systems do get their hard drives backed up regularly, and those backups are stored in a safe place for easy retrieval if needed... right?

Then why the f[patch] do we need this piece of legislative sh[patch] for? If the blue pigs can't get the data they need off the backups, they shoud quit and become Wal-Mart security guards.
