Web 2.0 entering corporate world slowly

Are You Kidding; I was Web 2.0ed in less than 2 weeks: New manager from a Microsoft-only shop wanted something SharePoint like. In 2 weeks our Web 2.0 kid Tiki'ed the entire lot of us - before I even had a chance to check out SharePoint.

The next thing was for each of us to create an activity list - a simple list of what we were up to that would be updated daily.

I just found out this morning that an RSS feed was created on my activity list. Now the manager gets an update message every time I update the list. By By Wally (status) reports.

Then he had me take two emails with attachments on projects he was seeking funding for and put those under wiki document managment requiring all of us to make comments. Next thing I know there are data flow diagrams posted.

I am not certain I like Web 2.0 but I know the corporate world will move quickly with its next crop of Web 2.0 savy new hires. Try googling Wiki IBM You Tube. Its a Nice little mind blower.
