Trust ZDnet not tomention the Zune scam
Trust ZDnet to tub thump about Microsoft's latest copy-cat "innovation", whereas the Microsoft story on other news sites today is the fact that Zune will NOT play anything previously encoded and sold under the "Play For Sure" DRM from Microsoft. Hands up all the people who believed the music you were paying for, would "Play For Sure?". If you are a Microsoft partner, you also got shafted. "If you signed up to send out content in infected WMA/WMV format, you can't sell to the hot new device this non-denominational year end season". Don't worry though - Microsoft are actively advocating that people break the law! Yes, that's right.

Yes, J Allard, MS Corporate VP is actively advocating that the new device be used to break laws, DMCA be damned, it is only meant to be observed when it is fattening their wallet.
