- McDonald's
- I lived for many years in a city called Durban, on the east coast of South Africa. McDonald's only came into the country in around 1995 or so after the first democratic elections. I remember reading the story of a shop in Durban called McDonald's. It had been founded in the early 1900's by a Scottish guy called McDonald. Somehow McDonald's the corporation managed to win the copyright legal battle that ensued. I don't understand how that works since as far as I know McDonald's the corporation was founded by Mr Croc in the 50's or the 60's.
