gmail sucks
Not totally true it's a nice idea and it works but...

I've been trying to use gmail for a while now. It's got an awkward unintuitive interface particularly around addressing and mail sorting. I'm also convinced the system tray mail notifier is slowing my machine or web access down. It's replaced my hotmail account for private mail but I would never consider using or recommending this for anything other than casual home usage.

In short the ideas are nice but they need a lot more work. My other question is will anyone ever really let employees use a web based system for handling sensitive information?

Google should stick at maintaining their position at the top of the Search Engine hierarchy. Jumping into the Office ring will only put pressure on their resources and in the long term will probably be damaging.
