what Google SHOULD DO about 'googling'
Yes, this IS a sign that Google is becoming uncool, because it shows that they are listening to their LAWYERS rather than their CUSTOMERS.

What Google SHOULD DO about "googling", since they are such a heavyweight now, is to get the relevant 'abandonment of copyright' law CHANGED to reflect the fact that this sort of "verbification" is not only outside of any company's control, it is in fact the ultimate RECOGNITION of the copyrighted term. This, in the end, would make the Google name FAR more valuable.
