Apple here we come...
It appears that Google has entered the ranks of "Legal Lunatics" right along with the hyper-senstitive and COMPLETELY out-of-touch with *anything* looking suspiciously-like-reality Apple Legal Department. Xerox whines about this, but wouldn't give up the fact - not in a flat second. Has anyone ever heard Kleenex "sniffle" about this issue? No. Google is trying to make us feel bad because they are showing up in more conversations daily than the number of sites they have indexed. Poor Google. I am so very sorry that you have gone BEYOND the benefits or exclusivity of trademarking and into the social/cultural legend status that comes with your brand name becoming a verb or mention in many prestigious dictionaries that would have otherwise passed you off with a glace. As much as I love using Google, the only way, we are going to get past this people is to stop using Google for a while and, perhaps, spend some time at Altavista or MSN to wein ourselves from too much "Googling." Now that Google's shown us the light and that we have a problem, we must deal with that problem and recover from our Googling addictions...
