Exactly!
I use Google all the time, and if I say "I'll Google it" or "Go Google it", I then procede to google.com. I don't use the phrase and then go to yahoo.com or ask.com. We all know it's a search engine, they're already making millions, relax Google, the verb "to Google", as in; the act of using Google. is specific to your brand of search engine. It's not generic.

If I wanted to use a different search engine(looking for source code for example), I wouldn't say "Google it" but rather "search for it on (insert search engine here). If anything, googling is another indicator of how big Google has become in the tech world. Don't fight it, Google, embrace it. It's free advertising at it's best.
