Not too far actually
The person searching for child porn, should he or she actually find it, would then be in violation of the law for possessing it, on his or her computer. If I were law enforcement, I'd be having a field day with this publically released information.

What ZD does with this article really isn't a problem as the data has already been mirrored to other sites. It is, or at least was, out there for all to see.

It is really easy for some people to be identified. After all, how many people working in a municipal waste treatment facility in Cambridge Ma drive a particular make and model car?

And it would be interesting to type in the ID numbers just to see who popped up.
