Hmmm, I recall that some time ago
I read stories about problems related to companies that attempted to change from OS/2 to Windows NT, after Microsoft had broke the original compatibility that existed because they were originally the same OS, only screwed up by Microsoft's insistence upon placing the GUI into the kernal. It seems that massive hardware purchases were required to serve the same number of desktops, and the uptime dropped massively. Much code had to be rewritten because of the poor Windows multitasking capability.

Is this just a replay of these old problems?
