Compilers Ignore Comments?
So the names are not actually part of the executable? Wow, thanks for the lesson. You must be a really advanced programmer, probably head of Research at Google or something like that. Seriously guys, do you really think you are imparting wisdom with comments like that. My original post was meant as a silly little comment to something I saw as a silly little gimmick. I mean...."immortalize" people's names in the code of Firefox, if they manage to persuade a friend to download its Web browser". Come on, even Firefox's biggest supporters have to admit this is a pathetic marketing gimmick. As for all of the overly-literal programming experts out there, I will try harder to use my tags from now on.
