Why don't they ask the Extension developers to test?
By default, I would have expected that when Mozilla foundation makes a .0 release, that they would require extension developers to "prove" against that release. That is, an extension must signal that it has been designed and tested for that release.

Fer sure, when beta testing begins more bugs might surface but at least you're not beginning the testing of extensions at that point.
