Don't buggy software and the perceived anti-consumer bias associated with MSFT count for anything in trying to figure out why there is no "hue and cry" when GOOGle tries (more or less) the same thing for which MSFT got shouted down? (Perceived) anti-comsumer bias and lack of software competence are two areas where MSFT could learn a lot from GOOGle.

Who wants to give personal data to a company perceived as "the enemy" and especially one that can't seem to do anything right? Even if MSFT didn't want to use the data to harm the consumer, they might do so due to ineptitude.
