Where's the early adopters?
I don't know why everyone is so skeptical about Google Checkout. It makes sense to use it if you're a merchant, especially if you can avoid transaction fees by spending money on Adwords.

If you're a customer, why would you not want to be able to check out with one click? If you think Google's payment system is not secure enough, think again. They know their reputation is on the line when it comes to security. And since everyone is breathing down Google's neck, they had better get it right.

The only big alternative is PayPal which everyone knows doesn't handle fraudulent claims in an efficient manner.

Sure, Google is trying to get merchants to spend more Adwords dollars, but there is much value added to both merchants and consumers. Quit listening to all the whiners out there who are jealous of Google's accomplishments.
