Is it worth it?
That's the argument--not having the ability to carry guns (actually, you still can do this in many states) is outweighed by the public safety. It's worth it.

Here, you're balancing our cultural heritage versus the ability for a few profitable companies to become even more profitable. Sorry, no, not worth it.
