You are missing the whole point of the Broadcast Flag
---In truth, NBC, Warner Bros, etc. really don't care what happens to the content itself, what they do care about is their ability to sell the *distribution* in a manner it creates a market with advertizers---

Please explain how the broadcast flag protects the advertisers. It doesn't. What it does protect, is the market for the studios to sell content, either as downloads or on DVDs. The whole idea is to stop you from recording a show. If I were an advertiser, I sure as hell would want people recording the show. If they're not home to see it when it airs, they won't see my ad. If they buy the DVD, they won't see my ad.

---You sound like a guy a hundred years ago arguing about his "right" to walk around with a gun strapped to his leg---

And you sound like a billionaire sports team owner, begging for public charity to build a new stadium so you can make even more money. What's in it for me, they're my airwaves? All I can see that I get out of this deal is that I lose my ability to tape my favorite show and watch it at a later time.
