Your argument is fairly sound, but you I both know that the content will be pirated with or without a flag.

I think this will hurt the legitimate consumers more than putting a dent in piracy or the laughable notion that this will "lock-down" the content.

But I guess they have to do something, even if it is futile. I guess they don't want to sit back and watch piracy continue without at least saying they tried.
