A fair bit of advice
Try trolling harder. One does not have to be acquainted with the industry to know much about "those numbers." Your statement makes my brain commit suicide, and I begin to question your intelligence.

On a different note, copyright law is a very debatable subject, in the sense that sharing a movie over the net at no cost is no more illegal than it was to make a copy of a VHS or cassette tape and giving it to a friend.

I've downloaded my fair share of 'illegal' data, and because of it I've saved myself from buying some real turds of movies, games, and software. If I think it's good, like I did with O&O Defrag or Fable (among others), I'll buy it. The large majority of people who download do this. It's the people who collect discographies of pirated music and large amounts of games or movies that are the actual 'bad guys' of piracy.

Let's face it: not all movies/music/games are good. In fact, the majority are bad. Real bad. Gigli bad. St. Anger bad. Mistmare bad. Just because people can't turn a profit on a dump of a product doesn't mean it's the pirate's fault, although they can certainly be a scapegoat. If people can see what a product is without a cost to them, and they see that it's not worth buying, they aren't going to buy it. This way a consumer can't be tricked by a flashy box and regret spending $20-$50-$1xx on a donut-shaped mirror.
