I am one of many who will not pay theater prices for ANY movie, I have a 65" TV and a DVD player, I can sit at home, make my own popcorn, drink beer and smoke cigarettes.
No I did not wait to watch X-3, but I will buy the DVD when it comes out, and set it right next to X-1 and X-2 which I also bought.
High-Priced collector editions no less.
Maybe the time of theaters is coming to an end.

Your logic is like buying gasoline to pour down the sink because you feel bad for the oil companies now that you bought an electric car.
