0 x 25,000 is still 0
You add up as many zeros as you like but it never ammounts to anything.

You have to remember these people downloading are freeloaders for the most part. The piracy that costs $$$ has already been done prior to these movies hitting P2P sites.

Guess my point is that if your downloading a movie it's not because your trying to save a buck. It's because you'd not pay in the first place if you couldn't get it for free. Its the fact that it is free that has them watching in the first place.

Think of who does this. People with out money like college students who have interent but no cash. Teens with out jobs who have access to the net.

The real pirates that cost the industry money are the ones who rent movies and create thier own DVDs. I know a guy who does that and he can make a DVD case and all look 95% like a store bought one for the cost of about $9 instead of paying $27. Then there are the guys who sell DVDs on the streets they too take a bite out of the cash.

I'll admit I've even download illegal content. My reason was I didn't have access to buy the content, call me impatient. Take BSG for example. It was show last August but not in Canada. So I downloaded it. I also watched in on TV as social activity with friend. I also bought the box set for my collection. People who buy DVDs are collectors and for the most part collectors need the real thing. A baseball card collector is not going to be happy with a photo copy of a rookie card no matter how good a quality the copy is. I'm like that with my movies and music. If it's not orginal it's not good enough, that is unless the orginal can't be had.

So in the end I guess what I'm saying is that if all piracy disappeared to tomorrow the **AAs would not see increased profits. Things would stay the same only no piracy to blame for losses.
