Politicians lash out at video game industry

Advertisers maybe, retailers maybe, politicians maybe as well

but the video game industry is doing what it's consumers want, much like the broad entertainment industry. There are products crafted for a variety of genres and tastes, and yes, retailers and community standards must invest time in the proper distribution of materials for their consumers as they do with magazines, videos, tv, and such. This is not a game industry spawned problem, . . it's a not enforcing existing laws and politicians wanting the spotlight problem.

This issue is an encumbants dream, something to freely raise their view in the public. Some know only what they've been told by others, no real level of investigation of the current national and international gaming culture. For them, drifting is what they do from the promises they were elected under, not a form of street racing popularized in movies and gaming. Though, for some of them, Hot Coffee, is something they've real world experience, just a classy establishments.

They'll be quick to create overly broad laws that restrict adults activities in video gaming to release parents, retailers, and themselves from the responsibilities of being involved citizens and decision makers. It'll be contested in court, found overly broad, a congressman will have a new badge on their scouting resume, and the industry will have to make self policing decisions to cover all their azzes.

Same game, different tune. Music, movies, magazines . . . . . .
