Well..

Unforetunately, I must disagree with you sir, on this. I will admit that Google has not been the absolute hottest innovator or our time, but they have certainly learned a technique for improving products or ideas that already exist. Considering they have vastly more marketshare in the search business than their competitors, they must be doing something right.

However, people are not quick to change on the internet. That is why Gmail, Google Earth, and all those other products do not hold as much marketshare as Yahoo, persay, because Yahoo already had many people's browser-based email before Google became huge. What Google is trying to do is develop better advancements and flavors of technology that already exists and then (this is where they often fail) use that Search marketshare to lean people towards it.

Sure, they didnt make up the idea, but for goodness' sake no one really comes up with a truly new idea anymore, they just make it better than the last guy.
