Who are we kidding? Folks this is the PHONE COMPANY. Any concept of worth, goodness, fairness, or value is against the rules (and if they could buy enough of congress even thinking those thoughts will be illegal).

When the phone company (ANY of them) -- or the cable operators for that matter -- say "well we're not too worried about price"... check your wallet. When they tell you "it's competitive" check your porch for prowlers. These bandits only understand ONE goal: to charge you for every bit, twiddle, and/or gimmick they can dream up. No matter WHAT they claim, no matter WHAT the deal... in the end they'll reduce YOUR benefits in whatever way they can... lessened services, higher prices, whatever it takes.

There's a REASON they're trying to ambush the very notion of 'net neutrality', and to enshrine in FEDERAL law their 'right' to gouge and lie.

It may be a nice concept to have 'competition' in the broadband content market. However, if the purported offerers of that 'competitive value' are the same ones that are moving heaven and earth to control the source, pipe, destination and all content of the offering... how will you even define the idea of 'competition'?

We'd all be well-advised to remember Lily Tomlin's 'Ernestine'... WE DON'T HAVE TO CARE... WE'RE THE PHONE COMPANY!!!
