- Prioritizing traffic across pipes is what keeps the internet running and allows providers to guarantee speeds to neutralize the telecom pipes would result in chaos. Imagine a world where there is delay in your cross country land line convorsations because someone somewhere is getting priority to the bandwidth simply because they got there first.
