Maybe we should finally believe Google.
Everything the company has said shows that they are working toward an advertising supported portal business and nothing more.

The only oddity is the interest in broadband, and note that Google is going to work on broadband efforts only in partnership.
For the moment, I'll believe that someone saw what looked like a good investment and grabbed the broadband capacity. Now they're looking for a way to make money on it without becoming a broadband supplier.

I think those looking for a revolution will have to find another leader.

Sensible company, Google.
