Yes, too many people place music/movies/TV et.al. on a pedestal, and yes, hollywood will play the "blame game".

Would it be possible to change the law so that a song writer/movie producer organization gets paid a fixed "salary" for the song/movie, not for each use of the song/movie. Once that amount is received, the song/movie is free to everyone thereafter.
