Call it whatever you like. It's fair.
We share the same network.
Nobody gets privileged access.
It's as fair as public access to the roads.
It's your choice if you drive a Malibu or a Ferrari.
So it's your choice AS AN ISP, to offer just email or whatever your choice.
But AS A TELCO you treat all traffic equally.

Now the telcos want to provide special privileged access.
The big boys zip along on the Hi-speed interstate highways, while the rest of us wallow on back roads.
It's an unquestionable competitive advantage.
Even driving a Lamborghini won't do you much good on the back roads.
So competition is hampered.
Democracy is too.

But that doesn't seem to concern you too much. You're more worried about the trains running on time.

And about rates being subsidized. Which is puzzling since the rates are so obviously based on use now. And a shared network does nothing to discourage that.

But then you think what we have now is not "net neutrality". That is puzzling too. The network is shared, and all packets are treated equally. Sounds neutral to me.

Why do you think the push for "net neutrality" didn't happen until the telcos proposed unbalanced service.
Obviously because until then, there was no need for a push. BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAVE IT!

Why do you think the campaign is called "Save the internet"?
Because WE LIKE WHAT WE HAVE!
